The Calculation - Regina Spektor

This song is so catchy, just like any song by Regina Spektor. It gets stuck in your head easily and her voice and piano is beautiful. - Ayumi Perez

The Show - Lenka

This song has been stuck in my head for the past month! Thought others would appreciate it as well. Thinking about doing it as a solo for the Spring Choir Concert.

Shostakovich, Symphony No. 5 in D Minor, IV: Allegro non troppo

Leonard Bernstein

Shostakovich blows your mind, and Bernstein entertains, conducting without a score.
Pretty awesome, if you ask me. This symphony is really dark and ominous-sounding for the
most part, but this finale bears mentioning, (and posting, too!)

Continuum- Jaco Pastorius

Classic electric bass tune by the great Jaco Pastorius. His use of harmonics on the bass creates an almost piano-like effect that is nothing short of beautiful.

All These Things That I've Done by: The Killers

"While everyones lost, the battle is won, with all these things that I've done" This is one of my favorite songs by The Killers. It scaled up the charts in the early 2000's but it still hasn't lost its glory. This is a song that always make you feel good after listening to it. GP

Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 in B minor, "Pathetique," IV: Adagio lamentoso

This movement is probably the most depressing and despairing piece of music written
by Tchaikovsky or any composer of that era. It ends not in hope but in undeniable defeat and
tragedy. It can make the listener cry even if he doesn't know Tchaikovsky's life story.
This final movement has long been interpreted as the composer's farewell to the world, or
rather, a suicide note, as he died a little over a week after the symphony was first performed.
