This iconic virtuoso classical guitar piece, written by Isaac Albeniz, is probably the most famous and difficult in this guitar style's repertoire. It's rhythmic figures are hypnotizing and powerful, recalling the listener to the colors of romantic Spain
So listening to canadian radio on my way to school everymorning, I stumbled upon this group. Being a singer, I really appreciate a good harmony and these girls can pull it off. All of their stuff is great and is just easy to listen too, so yeah...

I think that sometimes we assume that seeing and hearing are complementary, in that when one is more pronounced, the other is less so. This happens with artists like Lady Gaga and Dolly Parton- we assume that their creativity is singularly applied to their appearances (and that THIS is the real reason for their success), and that they have less musical talent . We forget how creative and talented people can be putting a cap on creativity. Dolly is one of these folks, I think. She's such a talented singer and songwriter! Hey, the public picked her for a reason- not just 'cause she's so damn cute.

The other night, I was watching a History Channel documentary on hippies. (I did not have psychadelic dreams aferwards, unfortunately). Anyway, this song was in it, and I can't stop listening to it. The echoes and harmony are perfect.
Candlebox is an incredibly under-rated band that was formed in the early 90's, and, after a 6 year hiatus, is still around today. It became famous in 1993 for its hit single, Far Behind, but I like some of their other stuff as well. How Does It Feel is a great example of how lead singer Kevin Martin can portray great anger/sarcasm, whilst still talking about his love interest. Plus, the guitar solo is SICK.
